A
credit crunch year with minimal new models released from manufacturers,
however the
Festival of Speed, more commonly known as FoS never fails to provide a
spectacle. One of the most
prestigious motoring events in the world and it's not hard to see why
with
all the different generations of automotive heritage to keep all ages
entertained and with the location by the famous Goodwood racecourse
even the weather cannot ruin the picturesque hillside.
Jaguar
showed off their latest XKR and Land Rover unveiled the new Range Rover
Sport (not that I could see much difference). A new model from
Infinity, which looked fantastic and is pictured above after the
Veyron.
Celebrity faces included Derek Bell, Sterling Moss and Peter Fonder
(Easy Rider) and
various Le Mans drivers of past and present.
Dennis
Owen, owner of GSO (Golf and Sporting Occasions) who provides events
such as the Grand Prix Ball, is now hosting VIP tables at Goodwood FoS
and the Revival events. With excellent reviews I can thoroughly
recommend looking at www.gso.co.uk
or contacting Dennis at
events@gso.co.uk or on 01403
753178. For those with mega bucks to spend, helicopter transfers, 5
star hotels and the best refreshments can be provided all day.
